Away to the top of the table Brisbane Roar , no problems for our Rampant all conquering Mighty Reds, Adelaide United are walking with a waddle and driving up the ladder at full throttle.

Who can stop us now? Undefeated in 8 games, 3 wins on the spin, 20 points from a possible 24 and 10 goals in our last 3 outings. The exciting free flowing football for Adelaide United is certainly back and REDS fans are loving it.

The Roar win though showed us just what a great coach AMOR is becoming, unlike the win over the Mariners where we dictated the play, tempo and possession. The Brisbane game was built on the success of a strong well organised defense, beautifully lead by McGowan and Larocca at the back and lethal deadly counter attacking play that saw us take our limited chances when the opportunity arose.  A win that shows Adelaide has a few game plans in its locker and up the sleeves of Amor.

Tactically Amor was spot on in this game and although Brisbane dominated possession wise in the first 45 minutes they found themselves a goal down at half time, courtesy of a brilliant Craig Goodwin cross and Pablo Sanchez pressure on the defenders helped stumble the ball across the line after 18 minutes in a rare Adelaide United attack.

Brisbane were very lucky to equalize just after the break when Henrique tripped himself up and won himself a penalty, which he converted after 48mins; a fairly ordinary decision as on the replay it certainly didn’t look like a foul.

In the 55th minute Adelaide United were awarded a penalty of their own after a great Carrusca cross and guess who stepped up to Score? Bruce Djite FINALLY!!  He got his first goal of the season and ended 1483 minutes of Football without a goal some 23 games.  His last goal was in round 18, last season. However it was a very well taken penalty calmly slotted home.

When it rains it pours and that goal scoring machine Bruce popped up again in the 67th minute just some 12 minutes since his last goal making it 3-1 to the REDs.  2 goals now for the big man upfront and the perfect tonic for Djite moving forward this season.

Brisbane again continued to dictate the play and control the game as Adelaide United sat pretty deep and soaked up the constant Brisbane attacks but really more of a purr from the ladder leaders over the 90 minutes rather than a ferocious roar.

Adelaide was to have the last say and after 90 minutes that man Marcelo Carrusca unleashed and smashed one home to see the reds get their fourth of the night and ensure the 3 vital points on the road.

With two home games for Adelaide United coming up Hindmarsh is going to be charged by REDS fans as the electric nights return to the spiritual home of Australian football.
