RED ALL OVER | WOOHOO

Woohoo.. When I feel heavy metal, Woohoo and I’m pins and I’m needles, Woohoo finally Adelaide United gets a win. Like Blur and that song let’s hope the first eight rounds were a Blur for Adelaide United and now the winning begins.

So take the shackles of my feet so I can dance, I just want to praise you….. finally we have our first win of the season, of course I can’t type this without singing and smiling and the sense of relief is almost overwhelming. The Adelaide United faithful have something to sing about and can feel excited again by their team. Of course one swallow doesn’t make a summer but we can let ourselves get carried away even if only for a few days till our next encounter.

Congratulations also to AMOR who got his first ever win as a senior coach, the weight on his shoulders has been immense so to finally see a Win for the REDS must make him the most relieved and satisfied man in South Australia. Great to see the 300 game Barcelona legend start his professional senior coaching career with his first win at Adelaide United.

So after turning the music down and drinking in the win how did the REDS do it and lose that Monkey on their backs. Our Maestro Carusca coming back into the starting 11 cannot be underestimated, the best number 10 in the A-League on his day played a massive part in this win, his linking up with Cirio who was also superb caused Perth headache after headache.  Marrone bombing forward and probably having his best ever game in a REDS shirt helped the cause too. The defense was solid and Galekovic recent return is a major factor in that defense being so compact now.  Big bad Bruce worked tirelessly up front and of course that little bloke Pablo was sensational and his winning goal was finished in a world class manner, composure, skill, change of pace, cheeky finish… there is only one PABLO!!

Of course we have a very good Sydney side this Friday night at Hindmarsh and I would urge every RED supporter to get out and cheer the lads on…but let’s not worry too much about that game.  The next few days is about celebrating that win and enjoying the 3 points together.  We aren’t bottom anymore and are heading in the right direction. We are back and like the RED ARMY sing pregame along with the supporters Adelaide United “You are my Wonderwall”.
