It’s been a massively busy week here in Brisbane with a new signing, a top 3 clash with the Wanderers on the horizon, and the training base the clubs needed for years finally on the way. A New Home After nearly 5 years of talking about the possibility, Brisbane Roar this week reached an agreement with the Logan City Council to develop a training and administration base at Heritage Park on Brisbane’s south side. The development will see a replicate of the Suncorp Stadium pitch created on the site with a small grandstand, in addition to two or three additional fields, training rooms, function rooms as well as the clubs administrative base. In addition to the Roar, Football Brisbane will be moving into the facility, with the intention of staging Grand Finals and Cup finals at the new main field, while their aged based representative sides will also gather there. The development, which is yet to release a timetable for conclusion brings to an end the Roar’s years of playing second fiddle at various grounds across Brisbane.
