RED ALL OVER | Cheers

What a crazy roller coaster ride this season has been as a REDS fan. It has been an absolute pleasure and privilege to write about it. Like Amor the REDS coach his first ever senior coaching gig this too has been my first ever experience as a writer so thank you football family for the kind words and support over the journey. I hope you have enjoyed the RED ALL OVER articles as much as I have writing them for you. I may not have won the premiers plate like Amor but I like to think I at least played finals.

So first a big thank-you to David Hards, the brains and big chief of From the Stands, what a great site and concept he has come up with. A site for fans to give their voice and opinion on the game we all love. It is a no brainer on why it works and really a no brainer on why we enjoy it so much.  Football without fans does not exist! Thanks Hardsy for the gig I owe you a beer.

Also a big thank-you to late night talk show host Josh Sampson on 5AA in Adelaide who read a few of my articles early days and said hey Damo why don’t you come on my show and do a weekly half hour segment on all things Adelaide United and the World game, sure why not I replied and now some 26 shows later we still talk the beautiful game on the radio once a week. Cheers Josh another bloke I owe a beer too.

Also a massive thank-you to all the Facebook shares twitter retweets and crazy football fans out there just like me who have been so positive friendly and kind with their words towards my efforts writing RED ALL OVER each week. Again more beers coming all your way what a wonderful football family we have in Australia.

I don’t know if Adelaide United will win this dam thing and I don’t even know what my next Article will be about but who cares really as the friends I have made this season and the football I have already watched to date fills me with the confidence that the game in Australia is ticking along just fine and we will all continue to enjoy it together, even if we are not RED ALL OVER we are all Football fans ALL OVER and that’s good enough for me.
