Located on the Indian Ocean the Nirwana Bali Golf Club in Tanah Lot is one of the world’s greatest 100 courses for very good reason, and a guilty pleasure for any golfer; no matter what the handicap. Designed by Greg Norman, the course offers something for everyone, with a strong focus keeping the ball straight and avoiding the many bunkers on the course. Bigger hitters will find course frustrating at times with cleverly concealed water hazards, and plenty of laying up required. The signature hole on the course is the seventh hole, a challenging par three that encompasses the Temple of Tanah Lot. Breathtaking views are provided, whilst a steady five iron is recommended to give yourself any chance at reaching the ‘dance floor’ for your chance at glory on the spectacular hole. Long par threes and tight par fives are the order of the day, with more than a fair share of dog leg par fours thrown in for good measure.
