Adelaide United has ended their three game losing streak with a stale nil all draw across the ditch against Wellington Phoenix. A game that was about as exciting as a New Years Eve party with sparklers and cordial! No fireworks or strong punch being served throughout the 90 minutes at Westpac Stadium. However United did battle hard and defended with a lot more vigor in this match against the KIWIS remembering this is a REDs side who had been leaking goals, Ten in their last three matches. So it was refreshing to see a water tight REDs defense. The game did not see a lot of creativity or free flowing football as both sides struggled to take any control or dominate the possession. Nikola Mileusnic had probably the only real decent chance for the REDS in the first half, however the young lad blazed over the bar after some tidy link up play. The second half continued in the same scrappy vain, with the scattering of yellow cards and potential for a fight to break out between the two niggling sides the best part of this game.
