On a hot thirsty night in South Australia, the mighty REDS have quenched their loyal fans thirst with a win over Melbourne City in front of 10,600 fans on a Thursday night. What a great sight! United fans to see our side finally play like the Champions we know they are and give us another sip from the cup of success. However it wasn’t all fun and games and after just four minutes the REDS found themselves one nil down from a well worked City goal. The dummy from Cahill, the quality cross from Kamau and that calm finish from Fornaroli was all class as the visitors took an early lead. You could feel the air come out of the REDS fans as 10,000 heads dropped and thought here we go again this could get ugly. A great team goal from City as United could only stand and watch Melbourne tear them apart.
