Marquee set to leave A-League club
Melbourne City much maligned marquee Marcin Budzinski appears on his way out of the club after reports have surfaced the twenty-seven-year-old is returning home to Poland and his former club Cracovia.
Budzinski failed to cement his way into the starting XI, predominately playing off the bench for the club that ultimately fell at the second last hurdle of the season. During his only season at the club Budzinski scored five goals in his seventeen appearances but only played ninety minutes on four occasions for the club. Budzinski made an instant impact with the club, scoring in his first Melbourne Derby but failed to secure any real momentum in securing a starting position. Even when Tim Cahill and Ross McCormack left the club midseason Budzinski still found himself a spectator of Melbourne City’s most successful season.
Melbourne City could find themselves without young star Daniel Arzani with the prodigy hinting at a Socceroos press conference that he will focus on “picking a club” after the World Cup. A move similar to Aaron Mooy where he found himself being loaned via big brother Manchester City could be an option for the prestigious talent.
