Exciting Times

The Reds are building nicely as the 2018/19 A league season draws near.Marko Kurz men have had significant REDs leave in the off season but I believe have made refreshing younger faster and more versitle signings.

While it is sad to see the calibre of Absalonsen , Adlung, Gulum and Elrich leave to just name some of the departing REDS.Adelaide United has replaced them with the very talented and exciting Boland, Goodwin, Jakobsen ,Ilso, Galloway and Halloran.
Throw in the reliable Kitto, Isais ,Marrone , Reagan , Elsey and to me Marko Kurtz REDS can achieve anything this coming Campaign. We already know the REDS will be fitter and well disciplined under the no nonsense hard working German coach.

The young talent will also get their chance this season and inject even more pace into the REDs at any given moment under Marko ,who has shown last year he is not afraid to play the kids and give them their opportuinity.Look out for young guns Konstandopoulos , Brook and Stamatelopoulos who I feel this year will come out even more to play and show the A league just what they can do.

The back four to me will be strong with Elsey and Jakobsen in the heart of defence and great options in playing either Galloway or Goodwin at fullback pushing them forward to join in attack when the need arises.

The REDS midfield will be anchored by the great ISAIAS one of the best midfielders playing in Australia. Throw in new signing Boland the tough German in that REDS mix with Kitto , Mileusnic and Holloran and I think the REDS will have a solid yet very agile and fast midfield.

The new Danish Striker Ken Ilso also comes with a high goal scoring pedigree and is a big key to the REDs success this season. If he can live up to the hype and standards he once had in the Bundesliga then Adelaide United could really push hard and go very deep into the finals series come seasons end.
So its time to get excited REDs fans Adelaide

United have a very well balanced and exciting side this year, full of experience and promising young talent. Out wide we will be dangerous and solid down the spine.The REDS will continue to play some of the most attractive football in the league and I have no doubt create alot of special nights at Hindmarsh this season. So guys the grass is cut the balls are pumped up, its time to cheer on the lads! Seeya at the game, the beautiful game !!
