The FFA Cup Draw
Thirty two teams will be switched on to Fox Sports tomorrow at midday for the inaugural FFA draw. The teams will be broken into three pots, with the ten A-League teams being separated in ‘Pot A’ and ‘Pot B’. Pot A will contain the top four A-League teams from last season, and these teams will play one of the 22 qualified federation teams. The remaining six A-League teams will play each other in three fixtures to be held in August.
Seven of the first 16 matches will contain A-League clubs, and these games will be staged in late July or August. The second round of games will be held in September, Quarter finals in October, Semi finals in November and the competition will conclude on December 16th.
Fox Sports will telecast ten matches throughout the tournament.
