#SYDvROAR Match Preview

In what is looking at being a big game for both clubs, Sydney FC and Brisbane Roar are going to be fighting it out to try and move up into 5th or 6th spot on the ladder depending on the goal difference. This game could be a major decider on which of the two teams make the finals. Both teams equal on points and and form looking pretty similar, it is bound to be a close match.

Sydney are looking to make a finals bid after a dismal start to the season. Del Piero is highly motivated and looking to become Sydney’s top ever goal scorer for a season. The rest of the team can see the importance of this match and are looking forward to a win. The team is missing captain Terry McFlynn and Joel Griffiths both through suspension. However the return of Brett Emerton will improve the sky blues chances.

Brisbane’s lineup looks good, with key players all in the team. New signing Stefan Nijland is looking for his first start after impressing off the bench last weekend against the Mariners. Berisha loves to play against Sydney and has scored against them in the past two clashes.

My Prediction

This is a must watch match between the two clubs. In a fixture that could just see who gets a finals spot, I predict that Sydney might just have the upper hand to win 3-2. With Farina and Del Piero getting the sky blues highly motivated and focused, I can see them just getting ahead. Sydney also have a home ground advantage, with what is bound to be a 13k+ crowd.
